Continuing on my redecorating crusade is a new TV table. I purchased this over the weekend from and estate sale for $30. A bit of tinkering and removing the tube TV, I created a shelving for my movies and DVD player. Looking at the photo I'm beginning to see why my boyfriend wants me to get a new TV. Though dated it still works fine. I'm not that tech forward besides a good laptop and phone the rest could be 10 years old and it wouldn't matter. Vintage Holt Renfrew hangers were also picked up at the estate sale. The shoes are from Zara and reminded me of Theyskens Theory designs.

Lace Coasters
Over the weekend I did a little DIY project with a can of Krylon spray paint, lace, and cheap white tiles. I have been searching for some nice coasters in my favorite colour, but had yet to see any. I saw a simple Pinterest photo and was instantly inspired to make my own. These were so simple to make and using any colour spray paint you want they could work with your decor.
What you need:
Lace - The piece I used was cut off a thrift store slip
Spray Paint - The one used is Catalina Mist from Michaels
Tiles - These ones were on sale at Home Depot for 28 cents each
Plastic Bumpons - to put on the back corners of the tile to protect table tops

Design Inspiration
I've been browsing a huge amount of design inspiration on Pinterest lately, as my roommate is moving out and it would be a great way to start rethinking the design of the place. It has made me want to redecorate, well decorate, since there wasn't much to being with. My apartment was built in the 60's, so there are some great lines for mid century pieces and a desperate need for some cohesiveness between all the mismatched furniture. It's really only the beginning stages so my budget is low and will likely start with a new grey/creme shag rug and me wielding a can of spray paint wondering where to go from here.
All images from Pinterest.

Favorite Picks: February

I've been so lazy when it comes to taking a picture of myself and self conscious. I really do hate most photos of myself, being too critical and pointing out every imperfection is a hard habit to curb. Hopefully as the weather gets nicer I will be able to get past my perfectionist ways and snap a few photos. Until then, Polyvore is my creative muse and here is a little collage of my new and favorite pieces for February.
Aritzia 'Theo' dress - The green is sold out online, but they still have some instore
H&M neon green earrings - unable to find picture so the ones above are by Dannijo.

February Project
At the end of January I was hit with a need to craft and really get out and create something fun and unique. My roommate and I have had many discussions of setting up a booth at a market and selling some of the goods we have made. She's a photographer so naturally that would be included, but what did I want to make? I love baking, but more as a hobbie and to give as gifts to friends at the moment. What I really wanted to avoid was having to bake large batches of cookies/cupcakes the night before or morning of..for freshness of course! and considering that my time is limited because of school baking might be a bit too time consuming. So it came to the conclusion of CANDLES!
I have created some custom candle designs and used an assortment of vintage images for the final product. So stay tuned for when we begin selling these at the market. In the mean time if you cannot wait to purchase them they are available on Etsy here.
